Frequently asked questions
How does the subscription work?›
Pros pay a flat monthly or annual subscription for access to the platform. There is no per-lead fee and no commission on the jobs you complete. You are charged automatically at renewal.
Are subscription fees refundable?›
No. All subscription fees are non-refundable, including periods you didn't use, periods you received no leads, and any unused portion of an annual plan. You can cancel at any time — cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current term. Full terms in our Terms of Service.
How do I get jobs?›
When a homeowner posts a job that matches your trade and service county, it appears in your Find Jobs feed. Click Express Interest to reserve a slot. You can also submit a bid while waiting for the homeowner to connect.
What's the maximum number of jobs I can have active?›
There's a platform-set limit on how many simultaneous engagements you can hold (engaged + bidding states). The default is eight. Once you reach the limit you can't engage on new jobs until one of your current engagements ends (hired, lost, withdrawn).
How many Pros can be on a single job?›
By default, four. Once four Pros have engaged, the job is hidden from everyone else. If one withdraws, a slot opens up.
What does 'Engaged' vs 'Bidding' mean?›
Engaged = you've expressed interest and reserved a slot, but haven't submitted a bid yet. Bidding = you've submitted a bid amount. Both states count toward the job's slot cap.
When can I message the homeowner?›
Only after the homeowner Connects with you. Before that, the homeowner's identity (name, address, contact) is hidden, and the message form is locked. You can still submit a bid before the homeowner connects.
Why can't I share my phone number in chat?›
We block contact details in messages so the conversation stays on the platform. This protects both sides and keeps a record if there's a dispute. After you're hired, you and the homeowner can share whatever you need.
I withdrew from a job. Can I get back in?›
Yes — if a slot is still open and the job hasn't been awarded, you can click Re-engage from the job page.
How does the platform verify my license and insurance?›
It doesn't. All credentials are self-reported by you. We make no verification claims. Homeowners are directed to independently verify your license at Michigan LARA. Making false claims about your credentials may violate state law and our Terms of Service.
For context — what homeowners see
These are the FAQs homeowners get when they need help. Skim them so you know what the other side is being told about the flow, the gating rules, and the verification policy.
How does a homeowner post a job?›
From the homeowner dashboard, the homeowner clicks Post a Job, enters the trade, scope, budget range, and county. Local pros that match the trade and service area see the job and can express interest.
What does it mean when a Pro is 'Interested'?›
When a Pro expresses interest, they reserve a slot on the job. The homeowner can view the Pro's profile and decide whether to open a conversation. Until the homeowner connects, the homeowner's name, address, and contact details stay hidden from the Pro.
What does 'Connect' do?›
Connecting unlocks the conversation between that homeowner and that one Pro — the Pro can see the homeowner's first name and message them directly. Other interested Pros remain locked unless the homeowner connects with them too. Up to 4 Pros per job by default.
Why can't anyone share phone numbers or addresses in chat?›
Contact details are blocked in chat so the conversation stays on the platform. This protects both sides and keeps a record if there's a dispute. After hiring, parties can share anything they need outside the platform.
How does a homeowner hire a Pro?›
On the job page, the homeowner clicks Hire next to the Pro they want. That Pro is notified and the job is marked Awarded. Every other interested Pro is automatically released.
What happens if a Pro 'Withdraws'?›
A Pro can withdraw from a job before being hired — that frees their slot for another Pro to take. The Pro can also re-engage later if a slot is still open.
How do reviews work for the homeowner?›
After the homeowner marks a job complete, they can leave a review. Reviews are public and tied to the Pro's profile.
Does the platform verify Pros for homeowners?›
No. License, insurance, and bonding are self-reported by each Pro. The platform doesn't verify, confirm, or endorse those claims. Homeowners are responsible for independently verifying anything that matters to them.
